What does East Ridge need to do to improve in 2015? What do they need to keep doing to be successful? Remember, please be constructive.

Will not pretend to know a lot about the ER program.

 

What I will say though is I am glad to see Brad Allen get the chance to return as Head Coach. I always thought he did an admirable job at ER and when he was given the pink slip I was very surprised. Allen spent a year at Belfry as an assistant and I have a feeling that will only make him a stronger coach and the backlash to Allen's original departure and subsequent re-hiring proves how highly people thinks of him and they way he treats his kids.

 

I wish Allen the very best and hope ER can continue tor positive progression.

Are they back to District play this year?

Yes they are scheduled to re-join district play and will be playing in 2A.

 

Should be a much more favorable district than their 3A Days. Shelby Valley appears to be the clear cut favorite and I expect Prestonsburg to have some big issues this year as they return only like 3 starters.

I think the drop to 2A will benefit East Ridge. Prior to consolidation only Elkhorn City played football. They have never really gotten their feet under themselves and playing in a district with Belfry, Pike Central, Lawrence County, and Sheldon Clark really put their program behind the 8-ball. Hopefully there will be improvement.
