Raceland's Josh Miller throws a no hitter for Rams. Rams improve to 13-7 with the win. They played mostly their younger players in this one. They were led in hitting by Shawn Deskins who was 3-4 with a triple and double. Rams also get multiply hits from Josh Wilson and Nate Reynolds and have 12 for the game. This is Raceland's second no hitter in as many days. Good job boys. :ylsuper:

And just what is your point? Also, I thought that using huge letters in an entire post on bgp was in violation of the rules. Oh well, if that is the way you want to express it, fine with me - it is no reflection on me. By the way, how many no hitters have you thrown? Sounds like a little jealousy to me. And 16th62nd, If you are going to quote one of my statements, do not change it, I did not use the huge letters that you took it upon yourself to change it to.

With the exeption of the huge letters part I will refer you to post#5. IMO a no hitter is a no hitter no matter who you are or who the opponet was. If this is the only ammunition that you have, you can clean your weapon and put it back in the case.

Statmaster I guess both of these guys have thrown multiple no hitters and they just haven't counted the ones against the weaker teams considering that they have thrown so many. :lol: :lol:

I have been around him quite a bit and being able to pitch and teaching it are two totally different talents. I would say Gavin Ramsey has alot to do with the success of Racelands pitchers. They have a talented team this year, I wish them luck. By the way I think East throws non-pitchers when they play these teams.

Drew hall has been around baseball all his life and him being a former major league pitcher has some knowledge of what it takes for a pitcher to become sucsessful. All I know is ever since that Hall came to the coaching staff the pitching has greatly improved. I give credit to Hall for taking the time to teach and work with these young men and I also give credit to the players for believing in their coach for working hard to achieve what he has taught them to make them better and the TEAM better. As for East throwing non pitchers when they play the mentioned teams, that is their coaches choice and I have no problem with that. I think that Raceland has more than one or two decent pitchers and they all need work. That is just a difference in coaching decisions, not to question East coaches - they obviously have a good team and have had a good program for years. I am not questioning other teams coaches abilities like some on these threads do. Way to go Rams, keep up the hard work into the districts.

Didn't both of those guys, Ramsey/Hall, get similar instruction early on? Both can be traced back to Steve Hamilton (11 yrs. in majors) at Morehead State. Drew played for Steve and many would suggest that Gavin's learning started with Jody. Jody also played for Steve as a position player and later as a grad asst. pitching coach. There's no doubt that Ramsey's & Hall's approach differ greatly but both have a lot to offer young kids. Sometimes over analysis is as bad as under analysis...I still cannot listen to Harold Reynolds call a game! I prefer Tony Perez, when asked to comment about a good day at the plate, I hitta the balla wella. Lots of ways to skin a cat.

Our pitchers love coach Hall. They all try and learn from his knowledge of pitching. Ramsey is a good coach too, but he left , these boys are happy to have Hall. He is a very good teacher of the game.
