Talked to Principal Jermey McCloud and he confirmed that Coach Massey has resigned as Boy's Coach, but will remain as a teacher. Good Luck Coach Massey.:thumb:

Who will replace Massey?

I look for the girls coach to slide over and take over the boys.

Coach Phillip Doyle (Deming Girls Coach) would be a great candidate for the head boys job. :thumb:

I thought he did a good job at Deming, the 10th region will miss him....

Probable candidates IMO, are Coach Doyle who's work with the girls has been exceptionly well done, or Coach Johnson who did a fine job with the 7th and 8th graders, and has a win at Rupp Arena during the KBA Showcase during Coach Masseys absence cause of the tragedy with his mother, but who knows.

A win in the KBA showcase doesnt mean anything. I think Deming could find a better coach than either of the two you have mentioned.

TO ME it is for a young guy just starting out with no varsity experience and to go in Rupp Arena with a team he knew very little about before a tragedy that just happen a few hours before gametime.
