Lynn Camp Powerlifting competition

Featured Replies

I haven't seen any results posted, but was told today that North Laurel won this competition. First time the Jaguars have done this. Anyone have any specific results?

I believe that North Laurel did win the over all competion. I also would like to see the complete results or at least the top 3 in each category along with their class and numbers.

Somebody help us out.

LC99 usually has results from this one. This is first year in a while that Whitley County didn't win it I believe.

Sorry I didn't get to go, something came up at the last minute, and I couldn't make it. Whitley County does usually win this. They usually come to the event with a lot kids, so they don't lose this competition very often. Congrats to North on winning it this year.

I have the results from the Lynn Camp meet. Lance Woods won the heavyweight division with a bench of 355, a squat of 525 and a power clean of 220, for a total weight of 1100. If anyone has any questions about any other players I can pass the information along to you.

That is less than last year's total when Woods won it with a total of 1,130 lbs.

I was just curious how North Laurel fared on the individual side. I don't believe that South Laurel participated in this competition.

Hitsomebody,

Could you post the top three in each weight classification along with their lifting numbers, school and class?

Thanks in advance. This info gives everyone an idea of who can lift in the area.

Look in the Times, they have the results of the classes for the top three, minus the school the person belongs to.

The 2 that standout for me for NL was Josh Miller who is an 8th grader (frosh this fall) in the #165 group. 50 lbs more than #2 in his group.

Also Brandenburg who is a soph (jr this fall). Pretty good showing by these Jaguars.

T Pennington from PCC put up some impressive numbers for the 185 lb class at 1,000 lbs total. Very impressive.

Codie Jeffries from Whitley had a nice meet as well winning his weight class. He is just a very solid athlete period! His kickoff return for a TD against NL last year was probably the play of the game for Whitley as to that point, NL was moving at will and Whitley was having trouble finding their legs. That play swung the momentum in a big way for the Colonels. He should be fun to watch this fall!

Woods doesn't surprise me from NL as he is a hoss!

It looks like the Whitley kids have not been working very hard in the weight room. Where are the hogs?

I believe that was Aaron Fugate from North Laurel. Another potentially solid linebacker for the Jags if he stays healthy.

I understand that they didn't bring as many kids as they normally take to this competition which they have won several times in the past, including last season.

I assume that this is the same Pennington that wrestled for PCC this winter. He is very athletic looking. I would expect that he is an impact player in football too.
