Four games Wednesday and four games Thursday to kick off the Stanley Cup Playoffs. I'm really enjoying this new format. Thanks to the way the Wild Cards shook out, we get divisional matchups in all four Eastern Conference series and in all but one of the Western Conference series.

Should be a really fun playoff and I do think it's wide open.

Who ya got?

Went with the Ducks to start the year and I'm sticking with it. I'm perhaps too high on the Lightning but they've been scoring goals in buckets and their keeper has been good. The Stanley Cup Playoffs are always a bit of a crapshoot given just how winning a series depends on your goalie being red hot this time of year; I really feel like Tampa can make a run.

Well I went with the Kings in the pre season as my pick so I guess I get another one. :banghead: I am hoping (and as any Blues fan will tell you) against all hope that the Blues can make a playoff run. I am worried they will not even get past Minnesota in the first round.

But just for kicks I am going with a Canadiens/Ducks final with the cup going back North of the border.

But for Getslow I really hope the Blues beat Minnesota...... :dancingpa

It'll be tough for the Wild. They did charge into the playoffs and have been really good in the last month. They're going to need a few breaks to go their way and find some goals; they haven't been the easiest things to come by this season.

I can't get overly excited. The Wings blanked the Bolts last time in Detroit.

I'm glad no one else went back to look at the prediction thread before I did. :lol2:

Just got curious about all our picks and it turned out I picked the Ducks to win the Pacific but then get upset by the Kings (who, of course, failed to make the playoffs). Whoops.

Also had Boston as a division winner... again... whoops.

True enough but the Bolts won 3-1 in Tampa just a week before that and the Red Wings are limping in a bit. I think they're something like 8-11-4 since the first of March.
