Why is Charles Matthews, Jr. sliding down rankings lists and getting such little mention in UK recruiting rundowns? I haven't been following recruiting closely, but is this a case where a guy committed early and some of the hype around him died, at least to the extent that it'd explain some of this?

Injuries plagued him in the AAU season last year so his ranking fell. A good comparison is a better DeAndre Liggins in my opinion.

Correct on missing most of last AAU season hurting him. Certainly a better offensive talent than Liggins, but not the same level on the other end. Saw him multiple times as a rising junior and liked him quite a bit...
