The most impressive thing about Branscum that I've seen in the three years I've watched him is how he keeps adding to his repetoire and gotten smarter each year. As a soph, he got by on throwing. Now, he pitches, and is quite impressive the way he's learned how to mix up his heat, change, breaking ball and knuckle ball to keep hitters off-balance.

 

It's been a lot of fun watching him develop.

Whitley may have thrown their #5 at Southwestern. Either way, even if their ace pitched, they held Southwestern to fewer runs then NL and SL.

You're right, that isn't even what I meant to say. I meant to say that NL held them to fewer runs than SL. People are blind if they think SL is the clear cut favorite to win this region.

As far as I can tell, things are totally wide open. It looks like it will depend on who gets hot at the right time.
