"Bad" but likeable actors in their roles

Featured Replies

Got to thinking about this over the weekend while watching several James Bond films off and on that were playing on a couple of movie channels I have.

As much as I like Sean Connery...well...he's just not a good actor IMO. Really has no range and in everything he's done, I just can't pick even one and say "yep, that was just a really great performance".

Now, with that's said, I LIKE a lot of movies he is in and I find him usually likeable on the screen in the roles he plays. "The Hunt for Red October" is an example. One of my favorite movies. Which ironically enough stars another guy I think is also a not very good actor, Alec Baldwin...but he's unlikeable in my book.

So, who do you think just isn't all that good an actor, but you enjoy watching their movies/shows?

Kurt Russell is an atrociously bad actor. But he's great as Wyatt Earp.

William Shatner so badly overacted Kirk in the original Star Trek that it's funny.
