The prosecutor was repeating what the shooter claimed."I was shooting at someone else in the protester group".... and that his office was looking into the shooters claim.

 

It makes sense to me, I'm going to kill a guy in front of the police station with 50 police officers standing directly behind the guy im shooting at. Gezzzz

 

If this really was why he accidentally shot two cops, he needs to be put away for a few years for being a complete dummy.
