University of Tampa 6 Phillies 2

Featured Replies

To be fair, the Phillies were not using their best players obviously, but that is no excuse for losing to the D-II University of Tampa.

Could a mod add a 6 after "D-II" please? Thanks

Last I checked, UT is currently the #1 ranked D-II team in the country. They can play with about any top 10 D-I program, right now. The Spartans have been playing regular season games for a few weeks, as well (13-1).

The Philles sent out mainly minor league players who have only been together for about a week or so.

I have a feeling that if the Spartans take on the Threshers in late May, the outcome would be considerably different.

I was going to post the bolded info myself, but you were on top of things. Nothing more to add on this one. Nothing to see here.
