Final from this 32nd District 2/3 game. The Pioneers move on to play in the District Championship on Friday at 7pm. They will play against the Winner of Grant County and Walton-Verona. The Pioneers will also be in the 8th Region Tournament. Good Luck to the Pioneers!

Mullins was a machine underneath tonight. When not scoring on his own, cleaned up the 2nd and 3rd chances. Really love his game. Fries also had a great game for the Pioneers. At times, they had trouble with Jump and Stanley's speed. A number of times down the floor, Jump was able to wind his way in and get layups.

 

I said this on the broadcast and it bears repeating, if this Williamstown group stays together and continues to improve, they will be in the hunt for New Castle in the next couple of years. You don't see such a strong back court as what the demons have with Jump and Stanley. If the front court continues to develop, they'll challenge for a district title.

Jump was the game leading scorer with 30 and Stanley added 21. Unfortunately Williamstown still has some growing up to do underneath. SK was just too big and strong inside. It was not a bad showing for a class A going against a 5 or 6A. Agree with your comments, Williamstown has a bright future.

Congrats to the Demons on a strong showing. Jump only a Sophomore and Stanley a Freshman.

They have a pretty good Freshman group of kids behind those guys and if they grow and get some size could definitely be in the hunt in a couple years!

We had seen Williamstown 3 times including last night and saw for the first time Brady Montgomery. Have to think brother to Rachael. He hit 2 NBA three pointers for the Demons in the second half. Another Demon freshman.
