yeah bball fan you're old, like three weeks more so than me.

Maybe like Sheldon, you should do a seat sound check around the arena before making final choice.

I was three rows behind CCH bench and didnt notice, but then again I am a lot younger.

You might be on to something.

I always sit in the last row, half court of lower section, for the bird's eye view and easy quick exit, and directly in the center of the aisle lowering chances that anyone has to crawl over me at any point of the night.

Of course I have to do the crawling when I need to go refill water bottle etc..., but I strategize by climbing over the least amount of people possible, and usually reenter aisle again from the other side to avoid inconveniencing the same people multiple times.

It's probably no surprise to anyone that there actually is a whole lot of Sheldon in me, however I never have considered the acoustic sweet spot, for I didn't think the option was even available, but perhaps by being closer to the ceiling where the speakers are, that's the source of my undoing.

If you're being honest and saying that sitting closer to the floor is more sound bearable, and that you were able to converse with ease, then this turns my typical seating arrangements on its head.

I've considered ear plugs, and truly had a pair in my pocket last night, but didn't use them because that still gets in the way of chatting freely with my brother.

What to do...what to do???

This conundrum could have me rolling in my sleep until the 9th Region Tournament.

I can remember the late 1980's when Travis Ford and company were on a 50-game home court winning streak in Madisonville. The Maroon band was top notch, loud, and played almost all rock 'n' roll oldies. They divided the band into three groups and they alternated nights at the gym, but it was still loud. They sat in one corner of the home side balcony, and I heard several comments about the impossibility of trying to visit with someone.

On the other hand, our broadcast position was on the floor and it sounded great. Of course, we were wearing headphones and could adjust the crowd mic to any level we wanted. :)

I wouldn't have wanted to try the balcony. I sympathize with you "old-timer."

I think you could have just said the music was to loud, and that would have sufficed.

Agreed! But, didn't you and I discuss about how it wasn't loud enough? LOL.
