Cov Cath 13 Badin 12

I was told that Stacy started for the Colonels but Farrell got the win. Also heard that the Colonels were up 10 at one point and Blazejewski put a double off the wall at a key time.

CCH was up by 10 in the 4th...started by a 6 run first inning with Larkin having a bases clearing Double.

Than in the 5th Badin scored 12 runs.

Than in the 6th Blaze hit a 2 run double to get the Colonels the win

Stacy started and was staked to a 10 run lead. He had given up a couple of solid shots but he picked a runner off first, and the defense behind him was for the most part good.

Then momentum took a big turn...hits, walks, defensive lapses (I'm being kind) and Badin has six or eight runs. Enter Matt Reis, usually, the very fine left fielder of the Colonels. He inherits two baserunners. A few hits later, we have a 12-10 game in favor of Badin.

Farrell moves from catcher to pitcher and keeps the Rams at bay. Glad Chris was given the day off on Monday from his catching duties as he has caught every inning for the Colonels. Dead solid behind the plate. From the mound, Farrell had good velocity and kept the ball down. Picks up the W.

Andrew Blazejewski was terrific once again at the plate. Four for four and CLUTCH !!!!

Colonels move to 7-0 on the season. Next opponent...Conner Cougars, Wed. 4:30 at Conner Senior High School.
