I have no problem with the rule and since it is the rule, X should enforce it. I think the first offense punishment may be excessive. I would be OK with making the kid run until he pukes it all out of his system the first time. But that's just me...not saying X's rule is wrong; just that I may not suspend for the first offense.

The rule is the rule is the rule, I'm sure there are no grey areas in it!! Standards run high at X, this speaks volumns to what the school is all about and what it's not about. Hoping this young man takes note of the valuable lesson here!!

Didn't both the parent AND the athlete know the punishments for such an offense? If so I have no problem with the punishment.
