80 63 Scott Cooper looks lost on both offense and defense.

Not one of my favorite games to watch. Both teams were sloppy in my opinion Scott has a chance to do well in 10th but they have a lot to clean up

Scott, recovering from their Highlands hangover, played pressure defense early forcing multiple turnovers and bad shots allowing the Lady Eagles to take an early lead and hold it it through the end of the 1st (23-12 Eagles). Early foul trouble in the 2nd hurt the the Lady Eagles scoring, but continued pressure defense kept Cooper from closing the gap and the Lady Eagles were able to stretch their lead to 37-22 at the half.

 

Second half saw much the same with Scott applying pressure in the half court. Defense looked a little ragged for both teams and on the positive side for the Lady Jags they seemed to be money from the 3pt line. Third qtr finished with Scott stretching its lead slightly to 58-43.

 

Fourth qtr saw several scores by both teams in transition allowing Scott to outscore Cooper 22-20 for the final score 80-63.

 

It was mentioned above that the Lady Jags looked lost. At times I would agree. Open shooters often elected to pass the ball instead of taking the open shot, while defensively Cooper plays aggressively but sometimes clusters and gets out of position giving multiple open looks. But much like Conner this team has a lot of talent outside of Held and Anderson and as maturity and confidence comes whether this season or next they will be a dangerous team in the future.
