Bishop Brossart 70 Silver Grove 32 (10th Region All "A")

Featured Replies

Neighbors Brossart and Silver Grove take a long bus ride to Robertson County High School to face off in the 10th Region "A" Quarterfinals. The Mustangs defeated Nicholas County handily 77-42 on Friday and wheeled right back on Monday night, blitzkrieging the Big Trains 70-32. The win over the Trains advances the Mustangs to Wednesday night's semi-finals against the homestanding Robertson County Black Devils.

This one was over quickly as the Mustangs pounced on the Trains 19-2 out of the gate and never looked back. Quite a different story than that played out back on December 10th when the Mustangs led the Trains 29-26 after three quarters down in the Roundhouse. Five Mustangs recorded double-figures, led by Jon Zink's 15. Gabe Roberts recorded a career-high 11 points. Remember Roberts hasn't played since his freshmen year.

Christian Politt led the Trains with 11.

This one was hard to watch for the casual fan. Brossart looked like a well oiled machine right out of the gate. The Grove coach was not a fan of the officiating to say the least and I thought he was gonna get tossed at one point.

The Mustangs keep rolling and look poised to take home the crown yet again. Althought I feel the games will gradually get more competitive from this point on.

As always nice to talk to Mustang again tonight. :thumb:

Concur on cohesive unit. We are very happy with the progress we've made, but will have to remain on the top of our game in order to cut down the nets on Saturday night.

You should get a plaque for coming out to this one. It was pretty much friends and family, but God Luv the Mustangs fans. Despite a single game event they continued to turn out in force to cheer on their warriors in the 10th Region "A" Tournament.

Sorry I missed you PB 98. I showed up right before tip. Went straight to the booth. Brossart is executing very well right now. Saw some defensive breakdowns but overall a pretty solid game.

Best comment of the evening from a Fan. "The ride down here took longer than the game ". Drive time 1:15. Game time 1:05 due to running clock.

Yeah if I knew you was there I would have hung around after it was over I left right before the final horn. I live literally 15 min top from RCS so it wasn't a big deal for me to go watch. Althought I had thoughts of leaving at half.

Maybe we will runs into each other Wednesday evening.
