Final from Mercer County. This game was not as close as the score indicates.

Per Twitter

Mercer:

Faulkner 27 points

Hager 20 points and 8 assists

Dow 13 points and 8 rebounds

Danville:

Hendren 19 points

McKinney 14 points

According to the Advocate Messenger, Mercer was just up by 8 in the 4th qtr, so how was this game never close PP?

The lead stayed between 8-14 for most of the game. According to updates I was given the closest that Danville got was 4 points when the score was 18-14. I got updates of 12-3 Mercer. 18-14 Mercer. 35-28 Mercer. 57-43 Mercer. 64-53 Mercer with 2 minutes left. Based on those updates I guess better wording on my part would have been Danville never threatened Mercer County after the score was 18-14.
