Don't know what's going on down in the 13th Region, but I hear the refs are awful. First there were bad calls at the Corbin vs. Williamsburg game which led to Corbin getting beat in their own tournament because of the ref not counting properly. Then I hear from several people that the refs are letting guards get away with hand checks, but if the bigs even move on the inside, they automatically get called for a fouul. I'm sure the refs can't see everything, bu I hear it's getting rather ridiculous. Wish you all would post videos or call the KHSAA to complain.

Each region has good and bad refs. I will say this the 13th calls way more fouls on average than most. Most of the Richmond and lexington refs let you play alot more.

You haven't seen many 5th region refs have you. Talk about calling a lot of fouls and inconsistency.

They didn't really cost Corbin the game against Williamsaburg. That is a bit of a stretch in my opinion. Corbin missed some FT's in the last minute and Williamsburg took advantage by hitting some 3's as well as a buzzer beater to win the tourney. The 5 second call that preceded the game winning shot may have been a little controversial, but there were a couple of calls that went the other way earlier that may have also been controversial.

 

There are some good officials and some that are not as good in the 13th.

We played 2 tournaments over the holidays 1 in Berea and 1 in western ky, webster county I think and both allowed the teams to play way more than the 13th. I don't care how they call a game as long as there consistent.
