Most points Simon Kenton has put up this year , but also the most they have given up! Details as they come in.

Any word on tournament awards? MVP, all tournament team etc? Thanks!

nothing as of yet. I do know however that at the conclusion of every game a player of the game award is given out and the first game it was awarded to soph center Madi Meier with a double double 17 pts and 12 rebs and 4 blks. Second game was given to frosh guard Allie Neace 19 pts 6 rebs and 4 assists. Meier also had a double double in second game as well ,15 & 11. Bossee girl scored in double figures in both games too. She is fun to watch! Still waiting on this games results. Simon is playing steady, not great, but not horrible either! Looks as though the are improving a little more every game.

Believe Madi Meier was tourney MVP.

Believe Madi Meier was tourney MVP.

This is incorrect, this tournament was not a traditional tournament where there is a champion, it was where you come down and play. There was no tournament MVP, or all tournament team. After each game there was a player of the game announced, today's player of the game was Maggi Bosse, she had 22 points and 6 rebounds.

The Pioneers went down and won all 3 games. There are some things that the pioneers need to work on, limiting unforced turnovers, and press offense are the 2 biggies. But I am sure that those things won't be a problem for long.

11-0 after Christmas and Holiday break is outstanding. The pioneers are back in action on Friday against region opponent Oldham County

Thanks for the correction.

The Pioneers seem to be the real deal. Will be interesting to see how they play once they start playing the 9th region teams. My guess is they will prove out to be one of the top teams. Looks like they have played a very challenging schedule thus far. I'm not sure they have enough for HC though.

Simon Kenton is good and they are now getting into the big part of their schedule. But as for Holy Cross It's going to be a good matchup but I think SK will have put it all together by that game and have the defensive dominance.

Their Win over Louisville Central proves that they are a huge defensive threat against a very athletic team.
