CLAY got hit hard with the injury bug tonight. Had one of the top 6 quit. (Sams). Had starter Ryan House out with knee injury. Had new Starter Coty Arnold go down with a very serious ankle injury in 2nd quarter. And had starter Trey Farmer out at times with back spasms. Overall Clay came out flat and played that way the entire game. I really don't know how they even won. Here's the stats:

Farmer 16 pts, 6 reb, 3 ast.

Smith. 14 pts, 7 reb, 8 ast.

Sexton. 9 pts, 5 reb.

House 9 pts, played 2 quarters

Arnold. 7 pts, 3 reb. Injured in 2nd quarter.

Why did the kid quit?

He was a starter and was unhappy with his playing time in the North Laurel game. He quit last year as well and came back. Clay really needs him if House is gonna miss any time at all. And by the looks of the injury to Arnold I'd say he is done for the year.(speculation only). They wasn't deep to begin with but now they are bare bones.

Yes to the best of my knowledge. This is what was told at gym tonight.

They can come and go anytime they want?

They did let him return last year, but the coaches left it up to the players from what I'm told. And there was some consequences.

I hear that so much now. I wonder when that became a decision for players.

They don't vote for who starts or who makes varsity or what plays to run.
