On paper, North has the best talent in the region. If you don't believe that, then you're wearing rose colored glasses.

And North will have ups and downs. They play as tough as a schedule as anyone in the region. Which will make them better come postseason play.

Just ask Bill Self if he'd rather have size and length. That's what North has. They might go 0-30. But they have the best talent.

No doubt North has the best size and length.

I don't know about talent yet though. If I'm at Clay or KC, I have to like the players I have.

I promise you any team would like to have what North has on their roster right now.

It should be a lot of fun.

I'd admire you for not taking the easy way out and picking the defending champ.

I picked Knox Central last spring. The coaches picked Clay.

North does look good on paper, and in warmups. I think may be a year away. If it comes together though, they could be fabulous.

I saw them this summer and they still had a ways to go, but their best player was hurt. Plus, Collier is still something of a question mark. Do you think he will be eligible soon?

I like North Laurels team also but the fact is North was 13-18 last year with this same team. North had a very weak schedule last year also. I think North can make a run at region but a lot has to happen.

Imo North doesn't stand a chance against clay and knox if Collier doesn't get cleared to play. But I will say with him and on paper they have the talent. The thing with north is that Blake Smith can absolutely shut Broughton down. So where does there points come from. Well with collier they are there. He was a bad matchup for clay last year and had huge games. If smith and farmer can co exist and clays role players do there job I still see them being a tough out and the favorite come march. And I'm telling you for those that haven't seen smith and farmer this summer they have improved 1000 %. If the coach gives them some rope to play u will see great things from this duo.

I definitely think they have a chance. Some of the young post players will get better. I think Smith is the best athlete on the floor though when they play and Wolfe may be second, but North has a lot of talent and even more size.

I'd just rank North below KC and Clay at this point until I see improvement. Les may be the first to call it though.

I think North is in the same group as Corbin, HCHS, Whitley and Williamsburg at this point.

I've been on the Knox Central bandwagon, but I have to wonder a little after seeing them play Harlan in the SEKC Panorama. They won by 15.

I wonder about the status of Barger. Both Adams and Barger missed the scrimmage due to injury. Adams was sitting with the team, but I didn't see Barger, except in the stands during the girls scrimmage.

From what I have heard both players had injuries from football and waiting to get cleared to play by the doctors. I was told that both have been at practices watching etc. Barger probably wasn't sitting with the team because didn't want to spread whatever he has to the rest of his teammates. Believe both will be playing before long.
