Beechwood wrapped up district play with a third lopsided victory. It was another dominating performance by the Tigers. Ludlow had zero first downs and I would guess negative offensive yardage in the first half. Beechwood reached the 41-0 lead with 5:51 to go in the first half. Here is the scoring:

Beechwood offense had the ball the entire quarter and kneed the game out at Ludlow's 4 yard line.

 

Also in the game for Beechwood Grant Plageman and Jeremy Burns each had an interception. Beechwood finishes district play 3-0.

 

Next week the Tigers travel to Newport for their annual end of the regular season rivalry battle versus Newport Central Catholic.

The running clock helped. But yes, Beechwood started the quarter following the kickoff with a drive on about their own 15. They took their time pounding it on the ground down field. They got a first down inside the 5 with about a minute to go and then ran the rest of the clock out.

I am looking forward to next week versus Newport Central Catholic. I am glad the Tigers weren't and took care of business. NOW .... it is time to get focused on the Breds.
