Good win, but ugly game. Field was a swamp, with players on both sides struggling for footing. Garrard defense was strong again, with Western Hills' only score coming on a kickoff return. Garrard offense uncharacteristically struggled rushing, but was very effective through the air. Sets up a big game with Estill County next weekend that will decide the district championship.

Sometimes comments at first blush are completely wrong upon further inspection. I was surprised to see that Garrard actually ran for 257 yards on 39 carries, a 6.6 yards per carry average. I think the sloppiness of the field gave me a completely wrong impression.
