Yellow Card Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 Does anyone have any insight how they go about deciding how many kids are chosen for the All-District Teams? I ask because in reading some articles today, I noticed that the amount of players chosen has ranged from 5 players + MVP all the way to 10 players + MVP. I would have thought that there would be a standard number chosen for each District.
CENTERREF Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 I'm not sure there is a process. In district 37 the last two years they have awarded 4 from the district winner that includes the MVP. Three to the runner up and 2 each from the other teams. But it's not standardized because I don't beleive every district has 4 teams.
CENTERREF Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 I also beleive the all district team is chosen by each head coach not sure on that though.
Yellow Card Posted October 18, 2014 Author Posted October 18, 2014 I definitely agree on the thought that it is not standardized, your info on the 37th confirms that they named twice as many as some other Districts with 4 squads. I also saw where the girls and boys, in the same district, did not name the same number of kids.... they also had 4 teams each. :idunno:
Oldtimebaseball84 Posted October 18, 2014 Posted October 18, 2014 Can only comment on district 35 1 player from the 3 and 4 place finisher 2 players from the runner up 3 from winner....and usually the mvp named from one of the 3
