Basketball season for 2014/2015 should provide another exciting year. What should we expect from Corbin Remember, please be constructive.

Corbin has been a little underrated at times over the past few seasons. I liked some things I've been hearing about some of their players. Really young last year and will still be young next year, but I think Maguet and Taylor make a really solid backcourt.

I think Corbin started three seniors last year along with Taylor and Maguet. Hopper and Browning were really good off the bench last year and both will be seniors this season.

Corbin's first five is solid but didn't seem to have much depth this summer.

Correct, but lots of kids who played a lot were young, especially for a Corbin team. I think Taylor carried them through stretches of the season, and if I'm not mistaken, he was only an 8th grader.

 

I've heard more than one person from Clay County comment on liking what they saw from Maguet as well.

Maguet, who will be a sophomore, has a younger brother in the 8th grade who is also going to be very good and I saw in another thread that he is pretty highly rated in the 2019 class. I'm not sure how much he will play at the high school level this year with his brother and Taylor already at the guard spot.

 

Hopper really came on late last year and was their best offensive player in the regional tournament. As stated earlier, depth is a question, especially on the inside.
