IRVINE — Western Hills’ football team knew the keys to Estill County’s offense.

Stopping them was another matter.

Estill County, 6-2 overall and 3-1 in the district, defeated WHHS 25-8 Friday at Hoover Niece Field.

 

 

WHHS can?t stop Estill - Frankfort & Franklin County, Kentucky

Their was only one pass attempted all game and was in the closing seconds of the game by Western Hills, it was a completed pass but to the wrong team as Estill would pick it off with just 9 seconds to go.

 

Estill County had 256 rushing yards, total yards actually. Trevor Jones had 169 of that along with 3 rushing touchdowns.

 

Western Hills have not entered stats on the KHSAA website.

It will come down next week. Either Powell County or Western Hills, if I was a betting person, I'd say Hills.
