Who are the top 3 teams and players in the 6th Region this year?

Is it the same cast of characters or will things change this year?

I admittedly don't know a whole lot about the 6th so far this season. I'm guessing that Bullitt East and PRP will be as strong as always. Who else will be strong? Fern Creek and their youth movement? Jeffersontown?

What players are the top 3 standouts in the region?

Teams

1) PRP

2) Bullitt East

3) Doss

Players

1) Terrell Gray, Doss

2) Richard Gaines, PRP

3) Brandon Johnson, J'Town

Doss has the most talent but I question whether they will mesh.

Have to think those are probably the three teams.

Really curious to see what Williams can do as the new coach at Doss.

I would agree with all posters about the 6th region team and players who stand out. I think Desales has one of the better players as well, but perhaps not top 3 over any of those guys listed. Desales could make some noise though. Fern Creek is awful young with as many as 3 freshmen who could potentially start throughout the season. I just think their time is a bit away, but if the Coach there can get players to buy into his swarming defensive pressure they will be fun to watch and capable of being a darkhorse. Johnson (JTown) is a prolific shooter and Gaines is as active and athletic as anyone in the state. Gray is simply the toughest player on the court all the time when he brings it.

No hands or arms allowed... if called right there will be nights in 6&7 region all 10 starters will foul out.

Good maybe teams can actually play basketball now. Some teams in Louisville get away with murder each night. Physical teams dominate the area cause of the no calls

I don't believe for one second that the big time schools who press will be called for hand checks. I have heard officials in the regions 6 and 7 say we can't call them all. so the teams will keeping doing it.

Not saying they will but they should. If its a POE they should do their jobs. Just like the colleges did. Teams had to adjust. It will only cause Louisville teams trouble in the post season.. It happens every year in the 6th. The 6th usually alternates with the 5th and 8th regions and there is always issues cause those officials call the region tighter. The 5th has done the 6th region the last two years and there were probably more T's called in the tournament on the players than the whole regular season. Including PRP's Harris getting tossed and missing region final and state tournament. The district that has Butler/Iroquois/Doss/Desales was a slug fest. Coaches got upset caused they called fouls. They should have called more fouls. Nothing worse than seeing a ballhandler manhandled in the press.
