Owensboro Catholic, last year's "A" State runner-up to Newport Central Catholic, claimed the title this year by defeating Bethlehem 3-2 via PKs (5-3).

The KHSAA website has the OC girls in a 2-2 tie with Bethlehem and the boys losing to L-ville collegiate. Its a big deal if the OC girls tied Bethlehem. They are making a huge run. I have them in the final 8. They have left everybody in Western Ky. in their wake. One little blip was a close one against Glasgow. Didn't see the game but Glasgow can pack in the defense and keep it close when they want to.
