Mustang Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 Mustangs survive and advance into the Sunday "A" State Championship game on the merits of a 1-0 win over Lexington Christian. The Mustangs drew first blood with 3:27 remaining in the first half when Dylan Geiman scored off of a free-kick by Jake Frommeyer (SR) and that would be the deciding goal. The remainder of the game would not be without its anxious moments as the Mustangs had to survive a PK attempt by the Eagles at the 28:00 mark of the second half. The game was physical beyond belief with a multi-myriad of free-kicks resulting from fouls and NUMEROUS yellow cards issued to both teams. The Mustangs will take on Louisville Collegiate, 3-0 winners over Owensboro Catholic, on Sunday at 1pm at the Elizabethtown Sports Park, in an effort to successfully defend our 2013 "A" State Title. In order to assure a quality, continuous broadcast the game will be broadcast on a Tape Delay basis via our index website.
