I'm hearing a lot of concern from sk girls soccer team and just curious what is going on. I'm well aware of disgruntled parents so i am curious if their is an unbiased opinion out their.

Apparently a lot of young talent not being used while varsity is under achieving. Coach afraid to shake things up.

Guess i don't blame him though just see highlands thread.

I have not heard anything. But I do know an amazing, talented Freshman that made the JV team at SK and could out play 8-10 of their starters. Not sure what's going on.

I highly recommend the player in question to approach the head coach and ask what they need to do to get playing time.

Never phrase it in terms of playing time...........always ask what the coach is needing from the player to be an asset to the team......

Big test vs. NDA tonight!!!!

This will not be much of a game. SK has the athlete's to compete but until the coaches start playing to win vs making sure everyone plays and actually places the best players in the varsity lineup they will be average at best. That can be tough for coaches and harder for players but that is what it takes if you want a winning program.

You will find this issue at most schools, at least until deep into the season and into playoffs. A coach has to find the right combination of players, and that can change depending on the style of play of the opposition on any given day. That said, if the varsity team is not made up of the best talent, there is no way to field your best team. That too, is a problem most teams face, due to coaches being hesitant to cut upperclassmen in favor of younger players.

If that is in fact going on at sk (or any school) it's a shame. How do you justify to the kids that work hard for something? If your not ready to make the tough decisions then you probably aren't ready to coach. I do admire those that give their time but they should attempt to do the right thing

Tell them to send her to highlands. She would play varsity for her coach there just like the others.

I'm not sure about any of that. I do know there are several girls that should get a long look at helping the team and several that are in position to help the team and should get a longer look.
