I expect Williamsburg to get a pretty good coach. They have a very good school system and good fan support, so don't be surprised if someone unexpected(who is not afraid of a big challenge) takes the job.

I heard on another message board that if Haynes left that Jerry Overbay the 8th grade coach at Whitley County was next in line. He is a good coach, but I don't know if he can do it on the high school level. I hope he can though.

I doubt anyone has been promised the position since it has not even been offically listed on the KHSAA website as of yet. Mr. Overbey is a fine AAU and little league coach, but my gut instinct says the Jacket Administration is serious about rebuilding the program and will not take any chances or cut any corners this time around. I look for them to put the job out there and see what kind of applicants they get, then hire the best person for the job.
