What does Spencer County need to do to improve in 2014? What do they need to keep doing to be successful? Remember, please be constructive.

Spencer County returns their QB Jacob Derudder as well as their #2 reciever Kynan Smith and RB Logan Holbrook who rushed for 1,025 yards last year. They went 6-5 last year losing in the first round of the playoffs to Nelson County.

They return 8 starters on both sides. They lose Shawn Boykin at RB/DB, Micahael Fowler at LB, and Tyler Eldridge a four year starter at Center. Those are big shoes fill, but they have some young talented players curious to see how they develop. Holbrook rushed for over 1000 as a sophomore, so I am sure he will get alot of attention from opposing defenses.

They'll be dang good. My pick to win their district this year. They have taken Collins to the wire the last two years all things considered.

 

Spencer Co was/is a sleeping giant. I think in the last census they were the fastest growing county in the state given their close proximity to Louisville. Oldham, Shelby, and Bullitt County's are filling up, so many have obviously decided to move to the Taylorsville area.

 

Well coached. Growing community. Jefferson Co metro area. Not a shock that things are really starting to come together there.
