Highlands put up 4 in the top of the 1st on a few hard hits and a few errors by the Crusaders. Highlands starter (a lefty) was in control the first 4 innings. St. Henry's bats started to come around the last 3 innings.

Highlands shortstop (#6?) batted third and had a nice game. Hits the ball hard and fields nice.

I agree C1. Kudos to St Henry for fighting back and never giving up. They play hard and hate to lose which makes them a dangerous team and mainly why they made it to the finals.

Drew Rom, 8th grader, was the starting pitcher for Highlands. He pitched a complete game against Brossart. He's the real deal and has a bright future.

 

Brady Gosney, freshman, is #6 and starting shortstop. He's hit the balll hard all year long and also has a bright future.

 

Kudos to all of the freshman for leading this team to victory in the championship game. They knew what they wanted and worked hard to get it. Congrats!
