Boone County beats Walton-Verona (or just Walton as the PA guy kept saying) 7-6 in an error filled game for both teams. WV scored 2 in the top of the first to take an early lead. Boone scored 2 in the bottom of the 4th to tie the score. In the bottom of the 5th, Boone pushed two more runs across to take a 4-2 lead. In the top of the 7th with two out and nobody on, WV rallied to score 4 runs to take a 6-4 lead headed to the bottom of the 7th. Boone followed suit with a rally of their own and scores 3 runs in the bottom of the 7th to take the W - 7-6.

It was fun watching these two pitchers work. Dallis Knotts from Boone County and Hannah Thacker from WV are both excellent pitchers. The score does not indicate their pitching performance as both teams had a lot of trouble fielding the ball.

When you have two good pitchers in the circle, usually defense is the difference.

I would agree, Knotts and Thacker are about as good as they come in NKY when it comes to pitchers.

Two well coached teams and pitchers that are aces!
