What does Marion County need to do to improve in 2014? What do they need to keep doing to be successful? Remember, please be constructive.

I think the biggest factor is who will lead the Knights. I thought I had heard that coach Robbins had some serious health issues of some kind?

He has had it for the last several years. Has he gotten worse haven't heard?

From what I have heard he may not be able to coach due to how badly he has progressed. Just didn't know if anyone else had the same info. Coach is a super guy...I pray things aren't as bad as I had heard.

I had heard the same. Am actually shocked he hasn't quit or the school hasn't removed him for his own sake. I was told he couldn't even come to some of the games last year. I know it's a touchy issue but it sounds like he's in pretty bad shape.

If your an admin, how could you approach this? I would say that this will have a pretty significant impact on the the season...regardless of how many wins/loses there are.

Anybody have the schedule?

Apparently Coach Robbins is doing better. He is back home in Lebanon and was out at practice/workouts last night. His wife had posted a picture on Facebook of him there (still in a wheelchair, relatively still pretty weak)

Anybody have the schedule?

Not on the KHSAA site (as I'm sure you well know), but this is it.

8/23- @ Washington County Alumni Bowl vs. LaRue County

8/30- Marion County Heart of Kentucky Bowl vs. Green County (late game I presume)

9/5- Bardstown

9/12- @ Woodford County

9/19- Allen County-Scottsville

9/26- OPEN

10/3- @ Taylor County

10/10- Mercer County

10/17- Boyle County

10/24- @ Lexington Catholic

10/31- @ Washington County

Talent wise, they will be stacked. I think Marion lost almost everything up front, but they have a Sophomore to be core of RB's that are scary good. One reminds me of a baby Hershel Walker, they also have a couple Seniors in DeShay Epps (possibly will play QB) and Jalen Powell among others who can flat scoot. The best sophomore to be of the bunch (Hershel Walker mini me) is Trey Downs. Faa-reeak.

Glad to hear Coach Robbins is doing better.

Thanks, Harry.

Gladly. Anytime.
