Pat will not play football at a college but probably accept an offer from an NAIA school. I know there is a junior college in Illinois that is interested in him as well.

He's visited UK for football. Why wouldn't he play, he has a serious NFL body and from what I've seen on the basketball court, he has a football mentality that could at the very least get him college paid for. Not that I've ever seen him play football, but colleges will give scholarships to 6'6" 240 pounders that can run and have incredibly good feet.

If Pat plays football for UK, I'd be surprised. Its alot different playing against D-1 players who are all big and fast vs. the teams that Pendleton played this past year. I look for him to play basketball somewhere next year.

I played left tackle in high school and gave up one sack (that was my fault) my senior year. I don't think I could have blocked Elliot on a straight pass rush.

The weights and summer ball have helped as much as anything. Tyler has a great work ethic. He was back lifting the Monday following the state tournament last year.

 

I've actually played against his dad and the Belcher's dad . They both would get upset if we did anything to take it easy on their sons. I'm not sure what "too green" means, but I think college coaches could transform Pat Elliot into an absolute beast of a Defensive End during a one year red-shirt.

Congrats to Mr. Mains...I surely have enjoyed watching him play. He is a great player and hope he does good in South Carolina.
