What does Betsy Layne need to do to improve in 2014? What do they need to keep doing to be successful? Remember, please be constructive.

The Bobcats will need to fill in some key spots in losing 13 seniors with 9 playing key positions.

QB/DE - Dylan Hamilton

TE/MLB - Blake Spencer

RB/MLB - Houston Hall

C - Avery Boyd

RG - Austin Gillespie

RT - Jordan Stewart

LG - Dakota Hamilton

DL - Blake Williams

SS - Zachary Bowens

CB - Dylan Meade

 

Although they lose a lot, they return a heck of a junior class that has TONS of experience in playing high school football. So I look for another successful season. But district will be tough this season with Shelby Valley and Prestonsburg returning a lot, should be another exciting and positive season for Bobcat football!

That game was a game was an opportunity to show that Betsy Layne was no longer a joke of a football program and that they could compete. The coaches and players took it as a personal goal to win that game for something far more than just a W on the schedule. But to gain respect, they just came up a little short to a Somerset team that lost in OT in the regional championship. I could be no prouder of those boys and coaching staff for what they've done.
