I think the new LMU gym would be a nice location for the 13th Region Tournament, but I don't know if that is possible since it is a couple of miles over the border in Tennessee.

Beatiful gym...My son graduated from LMU..I have thought too that would be a great place for a regional tourney...but it being in Tennessee would probably be a problem.

16th region tournament is held at Morehead State University every year. It use to be held at Boyd County Middle School.

I like it at Morehead...no home floor advantage...also closer for me to attend....

The most centrally located places. Preferably two.

They should hold the 9th region games @ Regents Hall, on NKU's Campus. It's definitely big enough.

 

 

It most certainly is not. Seating is limited on the 1st level with the chairs, and I believe the gym only holds 1700 people. That does,t compare with Ryle, Conner, and Holmes.

I like how the 11th region does their tournament. They give the district champs the reward of playing their first round games at home, and then they play the final four at a neutral site. It alternates between the Frankfort Civic Center and EKU's McBrayer Arena. It is the same for girls and guys. It makes for a great atmosphere with plenty of space, and a neutral court for the region's best four teams.
