Powell County won both regular season games against the Owls...including a 42-40 win over them just a few weeks ago over in Booneville

 

Powell County (9-18) averaging 62 PPG.....Owsley County (3-23) averaging 44 PPG

Thoughts?

Well, by looking at the win-loss records one would have to assume that Powell should have no problems winning this game. They blew Owsley out once, but narrowly won at Owsley. However, the Owls have been playing somewhat better as of late, as indicated by the recent 2 point loss to Powell and a overtime loss to Leslie in Friday's last game of the season

. Owsley has had a rough year, losing a 2 year starter and potential leading scorer and rebounder to a transfer just as the season was ready to begin, and having another starter dismissed from the team. And 2 other key players sat out most of the season with injuries.

So, I'm not going to make a prediction here but only say I wish the Owls all the good fortune in the world in this game and hope that maybe they play to a level that will enable them to win this district game.
