Wallace led the Indians with 17.

Bach led Augusta with 36.

Anybody who journeyed to this game got to view the two best players in the region.

Any other stats?

I just caught some on the radio on my way home from the game.

Don't remember exactly, but I think Augusta had no one else score more than 5.

Montgomery Co switched up their starting lineup, and got most of their minutes and a good chunk of their points from their subs, or usual subs.

If I remember correctly,

Walker had 11, Thomas 10, Hodgson 7, Fuller 6, Combs 4.

I think Jones had 6, including a viscous Ally-Oop dunk off a feed from Chism. Hall 4. Cisero probably had double figures, Piersawl didn't get many points or minutes, I can only remember 2.

Sorry I didn't do a better job with the numbers.

Hey , any info and #'s we can get is better than nothing. Really appreciate all your insight.

We (Augusta) were only down 8 with about 3 min to play in the 3rd and then we had 3 unforced turnovers and we're down 17 early in the 4th. Montgomery's bench was extraordinary tonight and produced significant minutes and points. Their depth, and Augusta's lack thereof, and 3 point shooting accuracy were key.

Augusta played great in the first quarter. Extremely aggressive defensively, forcing some turnovers and taking advantage. Bach hit a three at the end of the quarter, giving Augusta momentum and the lead. The Indians quickly righted the ship and had a double digit lead by the half.

If it weren't for the depth factor, Montgomery Co was probably 8-13 points better, but Augusta clearly ran out of gas in the fourth.

If you look at the scoring figures, you would think Bach may have forced things, but that is not the story at all. On multiple occasions he found the open man under the basket, but the Panthers did not catch the passes. He never seemed to get frustrated with his teammates though.

I love watching the kid play!

Coach Holland seems to be trying to send a message to some of his seniors. He hasn't been pleased with their effort the last couple games, and they were rewarded with a spot on the bench for a lot of the game. Piersawl didn't start, and he, Cisero and Jones all didn't start in the second half.

On the other hand, Bryan Wallace had another fantastic game, dropping 8 assists to go along with his 17 points, and Blake Thomas (in what I believe was his first start of his career) continued to play with tons of energy. His emergence is a great sign for the Indians, and I think he will be a key piece in a potential post season run.

Cas Fuller played a lot of minutes, and had a nice game for the Indians as well. Art Walker was on fire, hitting at least 4 threes in the jv game, and carrying that over to the varsity game.

Augusta just doesn't have enough to win the region. Bach is a great player but not enough supporting cast. After this year I would assume that Augusta takes a huge step backwards in the 10th.
