Lance Durbin of Conner won the 2006 That's My Boy award. Congrats to him and all of his accomplishments. Still no word on if he's going to play at the next level or not. I know he did receive an appointment to West Point, but don't know if he accepted it or not.

The appoinment he recieved was from the United States Airforce Academy, not Westpoint.

L65, nice job on posting this. I meant to post it when I read about his award. I'm always excited to see a Cougar get some recognition for both on the field and, more importantly, off the field achievements.

The appoinment he recieved was from the United States Airforce Academy, not Westpoint.

You are actually wrong on that. It was printed in the Boone County Recorder that he received an appointment to the West Point Academy as well as the Naval Academy.

That was misprinted. He received a nomination to all three academies, but has only recieved an apointment to the U.S. Airforce Academy.

Any way you slice it, great accomplishment. :thumb:

good player and good kid congrats to him he deserved it
