Estill County 36 Owsley County 32

Featured Replies

Owsley's played Estill close in two games, 5 point loss and a 4 point loss, but just can't seem to get things going this year. One starter was out last night due to disciplinary reasons. It's just been one of those years. A two year starter transferred just as the season was ready to begin, another player broke his arm and has been out for several weeks and told me last night that he will be out for 4 more weeks. Another starter is playing with a high ankle sprain. And the Owls don't have a deep bench to turn to. The old say, "When it rains it pours" is certainly true for this year's Owsley team. It's been a downpour all season.

It was good meeting you last night, Professor.

I was surprised that Estill held it for a good 6 minutes in the third quarter without scoring, shooting or anything. Just held it.

Nice meeting you, too.

Owsley was in a zone defense and Estill had about a 12 point lead and it looked like their coach was trying to force Owsley into a man to man defense. They held it for most of the quarter. That's why the score was low.
