Any stats for this game? Assumed Newport was way better, was wrong. Anyone know the last time Nicholas County scored 84 points in a game?

Was not at the game, I was surprised as well. Adds some value to the win Silver Grove had last week over Nicholas.

Nicholas County was led in scoring by junior, Tyler Newton with a career-high, 35 points. Did this on 15 shots. Was 5 of 6 from 3-pt. line and 12 of 14 at FT line. Scott Keaton had 18 points and 11 boards and Logan Fryman had 14 points and 11 boards.

 

Ethan Snapp, sophomore for Newport, had 31 points for the Wildcats. Snapp had 20 and Newton had 22 each in first half. Very fun game to watch.

 

This tourney has had several first round "upsets". Semis tomorrow: Burgin vs. Nicholas County and Carroll County vs. Pike County Central.
