That info was from Mumme himself. Dunn forced it with pressure and every time Mumme tried to release either the QB was sacked or pressured. Mumme even tried putting tight ends in the backfield for protection and that failed miserably. Mumme's theory was that you release those guys and hit the short route but he kept getting burned, so he had them check blitz and got burned anyway.

 

To clarify. That may not have been the rule per air raid. Mumme and I discussed specifically the failures against those defensive concepts. Mumme still believed that he was one or two offensive horses from turning that matchup in his favor.
