Final from Bedford

I had Michael Dunaway with 23 and i know about 15 rebounds for Trimble County last night. Really impressed with Dunaway's progress from when we saw him last year. He was a monster in the paint before Carroll started to close in on him.

 

Carroll was hitting 3's left and right and jumped out to a 17 point lead but Trimble came back in the second half and cut it to 8 points for a long stretch before the Panthers pulled away. Corbin, Austin Crowell and Jacob Wise were burying it. Trimble had some issues with the 1-3-1 zone that Carroll is using right now. Lloyd has the same issue.

 

Trimble has a sophomore PG, Ryan Blanton who played point for the first time in a varsity game last night. Andie Young took over the PG in the second half.

 

I had Dakota Corbin leading the Panthers with 21, but not sure if that is accurate. I was missing 5 points in my book when we totaled it up. I'll wait for the Madison Courier today to confirm. Carroll goes to 2-0 on the season and has Williamstown and Owen County at home up next. Trimble 0-1 after the opener last night and has Owen and Eminence at home before their first road game in district play against Oldham County.

 

I'll post full stats when I get them.

Raiders dug a hole that they couldn't get out of. Carroll pounced early and that was the difference. Trimble was forced to foul late and the Panthers connected on their free throws. Appreciate the coverage Buttels! We also had 95.3 WIKI and Froggy 95.9 in the house.

Trimble never subbed once the entire game. I'm not sure if I have ever seen that during a high school game.
