Riley Caudill was in a boot and didn't play. His status of when he can return is unknown at this time. Lots of bright spots I saw tonight. Freshman Jerryd Jones and Jordan Davis are really going to be good players. Bench will have more depth this year. A couple of times coach put in 5 new players at a time. Defense looked really good at times. On the other hand, offensive still needs work. I will say that this team is fun to watch.

Did Nicholas lose a transfer to Bourbon? If it is who I heard he is still on their roster at KHSAA.

The Bluejackets trailed 49-27 in the fourth quarter and showed lots of heart by going on a 15-1 run. The score was 50-42 with 2:10 to go. Nicholas missed a three-pointer that could have cut it to five points and were forced to foul from there. Free throws were lopsided. Nicholas went 7 for 10 and GRC shot 21 for 32 at the line. Basically, the difference in the game.

Nicholas had a good run during that stretch. Like last year, GRC couldn't throw it in the ocean on offense and Nicholas took advantage of it. GRC also made lots of turnovers and Nicholas scored. Good game to start the season. I see both teams getting better as the season goes on. Good to hear that Saunders will return on Wednesday.

No I don't know how many he had, but our 5'6 guard Damion King just missed a double double, with 9 points and 10 rebounds.
