RACELAND — Raceland's football team defeated Pikeville, 14-3, on Friday night at Rams Stadium for the program's first-ever regional championship.

Thank you for posting these Ram. The last two, especially the one with Adam really got to me emotionally. Some people probably hadn't heard about Adam's father's heat attack and passed away two years ago at Pikeville. What a young man Adam Elkins is along with Daylan and all of these seniors as well as all on this team. Great Kids, even more reason to be proud.

I'll sign off with this one, got this oldrambler's tears a going.

Does anyone else get the feeling that this team is not through ? I certainly do, this is a special group with more than one bond they have been through.

 

It's always a great day to be a Ram.

Very happy for you Ram!!!! been a long time overdue!!!!! Congrats to Raceland and congrats to their fans!!!

I remember that young mans father passing. Congrats to Raceland, Coaches, players fans and especially my good friend oldrambler, ram sidelinedoc and all the great people I have met over the years. Good luck next week and hope you all win a State Championship. "Coop Dog" is watching. JD

Thanks so Much JD. I am glad that we will have you and Randy "Coop Dog" on our side Looking down from above, "Coop" will have the best seat in the house along with Mr. Elkins, maybe Randy will jump in and make a play for the Rams, Ramblers when he played.

Thanks Hellbird, I was beginning to wonder if it would ever happen. There are been some very good Raceland teams over the years that fell just short. 1987, 2006, and 2008 all come to mind as teams that should have won Regional Championships but didn't. Better late then never.
