The Sun Classic Fall Showcase was held at the Disney/ESPN Complex in Orlando this past weekend. Absolutely, one of the best exposure tournaments I have been to, great facilities and weather. There were 279 college coaches that signed in, providing a great opportunity for the girls trying to get to the next level. The Louisville Lady Sluggers 18u/Dobina won 4, lost 1, and tied 1, while facing strong competition and pitching. For those of you softball heads, I even saw Dot Richardson taking in some Slugger games. She is now the head coach at Liberty University. All in all, I would be hard pressed to find one single negative about the weekend. Several of the Sluggers attracted interest from several schools, and a couple of kids even received offers, which is what it is about.

Glad it went well, I have heard it is one of the better showcases around in the Fall.

Sources tell me some girl from Gallatin County received a really nice offer from a D1 school. I will confirm with my source before posting!!

Come on RCC9 its over your head, well everything is kinda over your head!!!

Ok sources confrimed it's Hannah Dossett from Gallatin who received a very nice offer from Ball State over the weekend. Hannah has some interst from other schools also so she more than likely will play out the fall and weigh her opitions before making a decision.
