NCC beats Boone Co. this afternoon at Boone. NCC scores an early first half goal by Connor Hanneken. Boone Co. awarded a penalty kick due to a handball in the box and they score (didn't hear the player's name). Boone's keeper (Espinoza) made several excellent saves in the first half. NCC scores in the second half on a header by Jacob Hensley on a long throw in from John Murrin.

 

Boone rallied in the end of the half but NCC played great defense and keeper Paul Grosser made some excellent stops.

NCC kids are athletic and my perception is they are a tight group. Those 2 assets can carry them far this season.

 

Nice win for the Breds.

Boone couldn't match NCC athleticism so they tried to out physical them. That didn't work so well for the player who took two yellows = red. NCC looks good in the back but they did get a little lucky when Boone hit the post and a chip had the goalie beat but went just over the bar.
