This is game 1 of the Bob Allen Pigskin Classic at Danville. (Mercer will also appear in this bowl in 2014).

Both teams are 1-0 after Mercer defeated Allen County-Scottsville and Danville defeated Franklin-Simpson.

This is the first meeting between these schools from neighboring counties since 1998, the last year they occupied the same Class AA district. Danville won that game 48-0, and the Admirals won 12 straight meetings with what were then the Scotties from 1987-98 while they were in the same district.

Danville 28-14.

I like Mercer in this one 28 - 21.

Danville 26-14

Sounds like are coach is not giving us much of a chance. Mercer played good last week only giving up one touch down to the trap kid.
